Do you know Calvin Coolidge was the president of America? Most of the Americans and millions of educated persons in the world know it. What else do you know about him?
Probably not much. This man had a nice personality and he was a very interesting man. Unfortunately he had got no monuments to his presidency. No one knows if his talent had caused any marvelous achievements or changes for Americans.
Only two things are well-known about him. First: he rose to presidency from an ordinary man, second: his following quotation - gracing most of the good books in the world, and inspiring millions:
“Nothing can take the place of persistence. Talent will not, for nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Education will not, for the world is filled with educated derelicts. Genius will not, for unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Determination and persistence alone are omnipotent.”
