The former Abbey at Fort Augustus started out as a military garrison and was later converted into a place of peace by the St Benedictine monks. It is located at the southern tip of Loch Ness and is undergoing rennovation to provide deluxe self-catering apartments and cottages.

The Old School building now consists of fifteen two and three bedroom apartments on three floors. Some of these homes have picturesque views and look out over the cloisters and across to the Monastery and the hills of the Great Glen beyond. The Moat house 7 has a self-catering apartment on the second floor, which can sleep 4 people with an area of 90 square meters.
